Who we are
Cortex Influence (“Cortex,” “we,” “us”) is a talent agency operated from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Public contact: desk@cortexinfluence.com.
What this site is
This website provides information about our services, an overview of our roster scope, and contact forms for brands and creators interested in working with us. The site itself is not a product or service for sale.
Submitting a contact form, booking a discovery call, or otherwise reaching out does not create an agency relationship, an obligation to represent or sponsor anyone, or any contract between us. A formal agreement — covering scope, fees, deliverables, confidentiality, and intellectual property — must be executed in writing before any work begins.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or impersonating information through any contact form.
- Scrape, mirror, or systematically copy the site or its content, including for the purpose of training machine-learning models, without our prior written consent.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the site, or attempt to bypass any access controls.
- Use the site or any information obtained through it in violation of applicable law, including FTC, Competition Bureau Canada, ASA, or ACCC rules on advertising and endorsements.
Intellectual property
The site, its design, the Cortex Influence name and brand mark, all copy and editorial content, and the structure of this site are owned by us or our licensors and protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and related laws.
The press kit at /press provides our logo files for editorial and media use. You may reproduce them to refer to us in news coverage, articles, or related contexts, provided you don’t recolor, distort, or modify the marks. All other reproduction requires written permission.
Your submissions
Information you submit through our contact forms (company, channel URL, follower count, message, etc.) is governed by our Privacy policy. By submitting, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use that information to evaluate your inquiry, respond, and — for creator applications — assess fit against active brand briefs.
Don’t submit anything you consider confidential through the web form. Real confidential information should be exchanged after a mutual NDA, which we’re happy to sign.
Third-party services and links
The site embeds or links to third-party services (e.g., the social platforms our creators publish on). Use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we don’t control them.
No professional advice
Editorial content on this site is general information about the creator economy and brand-creator partnerships. It is not legal, tax, or financial advice. If a campaign concept on this site sounds relevant to your situation, talk to qualified counsel before relying on it.
Disclaimer of warranties
The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties — express or implied — about availability, accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Roster size, campaign metrics, case study numbers, and other figures presented on this site reflect a point-in-time snapshot and may change.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cortex Influence and its directors, officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, this site or any information obtained through it. Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability is limited to CAD $100.
This limitation does not apply to deals or services contracted under a separate signed agreement, which has its own liability terms.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim arising from your misuse of the site, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party right.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from your use of this site, unless applicable consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.
Changes
We may update these terms as the business or applicable law changes. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
